The safest countries in the world in 2025 are countries that have lower GPI (Global Peace Index). GPI is the world’s leading measure of global peacefulness. The lower the GPI, the more peaceful the place is.
The GPI score of each country is from the Institute for Economics and Peace (IEP) data. This data will be used to measure the safest countries in 2023. The reality is there is no country on earth today that is 100% completely safe.
However, the countries on the list are safe as there is a low crime rate there. In fact, there is one country mentioned here where people hardly engage in stealing.
Notwithstanding, despite the prestige and reputation of these places, when you get there, that doesn’t mean you should let down your guard completely. Furthermore, some countries on this list have low GPI because they do not have dangerous wildlife, even the smallest pest, the mosquito.

In the country, police do not carry guns because criminal acts are rare. One of the reasons why there is a low crime rate in this place is the country's culture, its homogenous population, in which people are similar.
The people there have a sensible friendly peaceful character yet strong. They considered themselves as one big family and actually they are. For example, if a bike is stolen, due to the population, the person stealing the bike will be related to the owner.
Moreover, there are high employment rates for this there are fewer reasons to commit crimes like stealing. The murder rate is very low, per year; it is usually from 0 to 1.5. And if such incidents happen, people will talk about it for years.
Everyone is entitled to practice his own religion and women are no longer looked down upon as they can be paid the same wage as men for the same work. The general language spoken in the country is English, there are no tribal differences.

Police do not stay in many locations like how they are found in the USA. Singaporeans have medium education and even the locals can speak English.
Things are less expensive in this country and people here are very approachable. The crime rate is low in this country, yet drug-related offenses, scams, and pickpocketing are the common crimes.

The geographical location of this country is not favorable, as it is on the region’s tectonic plates. People experience earthquakes, typhoons, flooding, and, tsunamis. If you want to travel to this country, be mindful of the season and be updated regularly as to the weather.
13. Finland

Helsinki is one of the big cities in the country where people are friendly and warm, even at that, it is important to protect your belongings. Rural areas are safer compares to urban areas. The most safety issue here is related to car accidents.
